Where does the wood come from?
Each piece of Original Timber furniture is crafted from a single slab of reclaimed wood sourced from Northern California. We also remove and salvage wood from private and government land-owners properties when their trees fall.

How do I maintain my Original Timber furniture?
With minimal attention, your Original Timber furniture will last for generations to come without waxing, polishing or other serious effort. All you need is a regular wipe down with a soft damp cloth. Please be careful with excessive heat, abrasive tools and prolonged moisture, all of which will damage the finish.

What is your shipping policy?

  1. Local customers may pick up their piece during business hours or may choose to have their piece delivered. (to do later: Is there a fee? What is it? UH has a shipping price list)
  2. Original Timber Co provides delivery services throughout the United States. Prices are dependant on the size of the piece and the speed of delivery.
  3. International clients are encouraged to use our preferred shippers and delivery service, and may elect to use their own shipper, upon approval.

Sales Tax

  1. Orders within the United States are responsible for state and local sales taxes.
  2. For orders outside of the United States, the client is responsible for all associated shipping and handling costs, government import duties and local sales taxes.

Payment Options

  1. Orders, both domestic and international, are prepaid before shipment. Initial deposit secures order in line for processing and fabrication.
  2. For customers within the USA, Original Timber Co. currently accepts (recognized) bank checks, (recognized) bank cashier’s checks, cash, and wire transfers.
  3. For international customers, a wire transfer is the preferred method of payment.

Warranty

Limited Remedy
Unless otherwise provided, the sole remedy under the above warranty or any implied warranty is limited to the replacement of defective parts with those of equal or greater value at the sole discretion of Original Timber Company, INC. IN NO EVENT SHALL Original Timber Company, INC BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, WARRANTY, NEGLIGENCE, OR PRODUCT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PERSONAL INJURY DAMAGES, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR ECONOMIC LOSSES.

EXCLUSIONS
THE ABOVE WARRANTY, OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY, DOES NOT COVER NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR, AND ALL WARRANTIES ARE VOID IF THE PRODUCT IS USED FOR OTHER THAN NORMAL ACTIVITIES. Original Timber Company, INC. MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THAT OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES STATED ABOVE.
